to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for
aSenior Advisor- Health and Safety-Kennecott Underground to provide
effective health and safety support to leaders and teams by
assisting to effectively identify and manage Health & Safety (HS)
risks to achieve the RT goal of fatality and injury elimination.
The North Rim Skarns is the largest development Underground to date
and is a collection of Developments that access, and extract ore
deposits located below the Bingham Canyon Mine. The Kennecott
Underground and is to be executed concurrently with several other
developments including the Lower Commercial Skarns (LCS) and the
Underground Characterization (UGC). In addition to paying

Tinto's health, safety and environment programs to ensure they are
efficiently and effectively implemented and meet local regulatory
requirements. Reporting to the Underground HS Business Partner, you
will:
- Provide ongoing support, coaching & guiding leaders in HS
systems, process
- Driving standardization, simplification and alignment
- Leading implementation of RT HS initiatives
- Effectively communicate the business HS requirements, support
practical application and track and monitor progress
- Ensuring effective and consistent identification and management
of risks
- Own and drive initiatives on our site HS plan
- Governance and Assurance of HS systems and process
- Reporting and analytics of HS performance to provide insights
to leaders
- Provide high levels of HS assurance
- Use of risk assessment tools and process What you'll bring To
be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualified in health, safety, engineering or human
factors
- Health and Safety (HS) professional or passionate operational
leader with history of strong HS performance
- Operational /Project experience in either - Surface Mining or
Underground development
- 3+ years of HS experience and or Operational leadership
- Ability to work in multi-functional and multi-disciplinary
teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and influential skills to
effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the
organization.
- Successfully demonstrate influencing and coaching a broad
stakeholder group of operational leaders General Manager, Managers,
Superintendent, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change
- Demonstrated ability to take a system and strategic view and
identify and managing emerging risks
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate
- Experience in leading or working with geographical spread
terms
