Director of Financial Planning & AnalysisThe Director of
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a pivotal role
within the finance department, overseeing all areas of financial
planning, reporting, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and
cost management. Based remotely with periodic travel to Hawaii,
this key leadership position reports directly to the CFO and VP
Finance Administration, ensuring strict adherence to GAAP
standards. Responsibilities include developing monthly and
quarterly forecasts, crafting annual budgets, and contributing to
10-Q & 10-K reports for public filing. A vital contributor to
strategic decision-making, this role requires a proactive approach
to financial management, providing comprehensive support and
insights to enhance business operations and growth.Salary: DOE per
yearEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and
forecasting processes across the organization.
- Develop and present detailed financial reports and analyses to
senior executives, offering insights and recommendations for
financial optimizations and business growth.
- Enhance cost management practices, identifying areas for
improvement in spending and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with business units to support strategic
decisions and operational improvements.
- Drive enhancements in finance systems and processes, ensuring
alignment with business needs and scalability for future
growth.Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration, or a closely related field with a strong foundation
in GAAP/SEC/SOX regulations.
- At least 5-10 years of professional experience in FP&A or a
similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and cost
analysis.
- Proven ability to operate ERP systems, preferably Microsoft
Dynamics, coupled with advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, strategic thinking, and
problem-solving abilities. Must be proactive and intuitively
understand the financial implications of business decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of
effectively engaging and influencing senior management and
cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning and JET reporting
tools, while not essential, is highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to international financial operations and
compliance.
- Leadership experience with direct reports, able to mentor and
develop financial teams.Skills:
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and inspiring a
team.
- Exceptional analytical skills for high-level data
interpretation and decision-making.
- Robust strategic thinking, able to foresee potential challenges
and opportunities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, tailored
for all levels of management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables,
