We are seeking a direct hire Manufacturing EHS Process Safety Engineer for Hazardous Chemicals experienced with PSM and EPA RMP Rule for the Medical Technology Leader in Salt Lake City Utah



This is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world.



Responsible for identifying process hazards, evaluating risks of those hazards, and developing effective solutions to mitigate risk

Develop comprehensive High Hazard/Process Safety Management (HH/PSM) programs that include

Responsible for tracking key performance indicators (leading and lagging) to track the progress of BD HH/PSM program.

Provide oversight of and lead Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for site projects throughout Sandy.

Will be working with Flammable Liquids, Ethylene Oxide Sterilizer and possible combustible dust.



REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Process Engineering, or equivalent.

3-5 years leading EHS processes in a manufacturing environment.

Familiar with fourteen elements of Process Safety Management (PSM and the EPA's Risk Management Plan (RMP) rule).



Desired Experience:

3-5 years in a PSM or RMP regulated environment.

Functional Safety Certifications (Certified Safety Specialist, Certified Industrial Hygienist), or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.



Knowledge and experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 compliance preferred. Auditor certification is a plus or willing to work towards an auditing certification.

Experience in Fire Loss and Prevention activities including involvement with insurance carrier.

Experience designing and implementing strategies/programs/processes that support a business strategy.
