Description:We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Financial
Aid Advisor to join our team at Joyce University. In this role,
you'll be responsible for advising students on application
procedures, reviewing student aid application files, determining
eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid and
awarding aid to eligible students. The Financial Aid Advisor is an
important role at Joyce. If you have excellent interpersonal

the next step. This position is located on our Draper, Utah campus,
however we may consider remote for highly qualified and experienced

EVERYDAY:
- Advise students applying for aid; assist students in completing
appropriate forms; assess/verify financial aid application files
for eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid
and for compliance with federal/state financial aid regulations;
determine types/amounts of aid to offer based on formulas and
individual situations; award aid packages to eligible
students.
- Utilizing workshops, individual appointments, web tools, email,
social media and telephone to disseminate accurate and clear
information while counseling, advising and directly supporting
students and their families with the financial aid process
- Analyze student files to make a determination regarding
eligibility for financial aid and processes financial aid
paperwork, ensuring funds are awarded in accordance with Federal,
State and Institutional regulations and policies.
- Analyze student files which have had their Free Application for
Federal Student Aid selected for verification, determine and
request additional information as needed, submits corrections to
the Department of education, evaluate eligibility and change awards
if needed.
- Support the maintenance of the required knowledge and protocol
for the Financial Aid Department, ensuring that information is
efficiently communicated within the department, to all applicable
stakeholders and to students / families.
- Evaluate unusual/mitigating circumstance documentation or
information provided by the student; exercise judgment by making
adjustments or revisions to costs, contribution, need, or
dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
- Present at and participate in team meetings and student forums
as required to disseminate information.
- Read, interpret, and apply federal and state regulations and
school policies as they relate to Financial Aid, ensures compliance
and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with other offices and departments to provide
appropriate resources to students, represents Financial Aid at
various programs on and off campus, and serve on college committees
as appropriate.
- Assist Director of Financial Aid and Assistant Director of
Financial Services and collaborate with other departments in
developing strategies that support the goals and objectives of the
department, and college in student satisfaction and other related
areas.
- Conduct financial aid presentations, information sessions,
student orientation sessions and other enrollment services related
events.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Other
responsibilities as determined by assignments
- Identify students who are leaving school, prepare and conduct
exit documentation for students leaving school
- Any other duties or special projects as assigned;
- Attends and actively participates in school functions,
including but not limited to: receptions, marketing events,
graduations, in-service training, advisory committees, etc.
Requirements:WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED:
- Required Education: Associates Degree
- Required Experience: 3 Years Customer Service
- Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Experience: 2-3 Years of Higher Education Financial
