Job Description:

Duties: Develops analytical models with empirical measurements of system

performance. Provides performance testing services for workflow automation

and document management, including load, stress, failover, response times,

and client performance. Performs testing and tuning of middle tier

applications and Oracle databases. Assures that projects meet quality

standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, and

executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality on

complex projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyzes and projects the impact of the application performance in

production environments.

• Identifies bottlenecks in the application performance, conducts

analysis, and provides recommendations to management to improve the

performance.

• Produces formal test plans for end-to-end system performance

evaluation and analysis.

• Delivers test results to both technical and non-technical

audiences.

• Researches new tools and test methodologies.

• Works closely with product owners in defining performance

requirements and with developers in crafting solutions.

• Helps define and enhance performance testing and characterization

methodologies.

• Measures resource consumption of components and processes and

latency at measurable points in the systems under test.

• Coordinates project deliverables and drives delivery of performance

output with project managers and developers.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of

experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in

performance engineering, testing, and tuning of middle tier applications

and Oracle database systems; or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign

education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related

field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3)

years of experience in performance engineering, testing, and tuning of

middle tier applications and Oracle database systems. Candidate must also

possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) executing performance engineering,

including benchmarking and performance testing of real-time enterprise

level applications, using HP LoadRunner, HP Performance Center, and

Microsoft Visual Studio; performance analysis using HP SiteScope,

Dynatrace, PerfMon, and Splunk; and performance test automation using

Jenkins; DE performing cloud performance testing using HP StormRunner and

network simulation using HP Shunra; DE performing user experience testing

and analysis for performance tuning of thin client Web applications, thick

client desktop applications, and database servers that host large (20

terabytes) data within Linux/UNIX environments; DE writing performance

scripts in LoadRunner VuGen to run on LoadRunner Controller, using HTTP,

Web Services, Flex, and Oracle (2-Tier) protocols.
